On March 5, 2026, local cuisine took center stage during the Gastronomy Day organized as part of the 41st edition of International Women’s Day (IWD 2026) activities at MINPMEESA.
Presided over by Mr. Joseph TCHANA, Secretary General, the event took place in the hall of Ministerial Building No. 1, which was transformed into a vibrant showcase of Cameroon’s traditional dishes.
 From Kati-kati to Ndolé, and the delicious pistachio dish served with fôss, the event highlighted the rich culinary diversity of Cameroon.
 Highlights of the event included:
 Welcome address by the Chairperson of the IWD 2026 Organizing Committee;
 Blessing of the meal by Reverend Pastor ONGONO Marie-Rose;
 Official opening of the buffet;
 Tasting of traditional dishes.
A wonderful celebration of Cameroon’s gastronomic heritage, promoting sharing, culture, and tradition.
