On 31 March 2023, the coupled official ceremony to launch activities and solemn handing over of authorisations to incubation structures partners of the PEA-Jeunes was co-chaired in Ebolowa by the Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. This ceremony is in line with the convergence of views and synergy of actions between the two Ministries, MINPMEESA and MINADER. In the presence of leading personalities from the South Region, the Minister of SMESEH expressed his appreciation for the promptness with which MINADER has always participated in ceremonies organised by MINPMEESA, as well as the stakeholders who contribute to the development of incubation. Turning to the agenda’s item, namely the “… solemn handing over of authorisations to PEA-Jeunes partners incubation structures”, Mr Achille BASSILEKIN III clearly indicated that ” the development of incubation activity constitutes a major challenge for our economy and appears to be an effective tool, not only for the promotion of entrepreneurial culture, but also for the support to the creation of innovative and resilient enterprises capable of inducing a strong and sustainable growth”. This solemn handing over of authorisations to incubation structures thus increases the number of existing structures. To date, 29 incubation structures have been made compliant, including 4 public structures in the process of being formalised and 25 duly approved private structures.

It should be noted that the incubation structures are structures specialised in the support to business creation or development project holders. Their mission is to offer to the stakeholders of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem, a framework of creativity and innovation favouring the creation and development of innovative companies and creators of wealth and employment. In doing so, admission to incubation aims at enabling project holders in clarifying their business creation ideas, evaluating the relevance of their projects and catalysing the resources necessary for the creation and development of their companies.
