The Minister of Small and Medium-sized enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts Achille BASSILEKIN III presided over the closing ceremony of the 3rd edition of the PRO MEET UP AND LEARN Annual Conference on Thursday 13 October 2022. This year’s theme was: “Implementation of AfCFTA: The Imperative Need for Promotion of Continental Products.” PML is an African platform for exchange, reflection and networking between different actors of the continental economic front. It seeks to develop a true African economic leadership based on the values of solidarity and fraternity near and dear to Africa.
Stakeholders, particularly government representatives, sub-regional, regional and international organisations, experts, partners and civil society, worked for three (3) days on issues of the industrial development of Africa, the deepening of financial markets, technology and manufacturing engineering, training, renewable energy and the management of population growth.
In his closing speech, the Minister congratulated and encouraged the promoter, Ms Carole Mbessa, for this brilliant initiative. He urged stakeholders to work individually and collectively for the effective implementation of the AfCFTA, a guarantee of the economic prosperity of our continent.
