This Saturday, February 28, 2026, women of the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA) gathered at the 20th May Boulevard in Yaoundé for an inspiring sports walk alongside women from other ministries, public and private enterprises, and institutions.
The event was presided over by the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Marie-Therese Abena Ondoa, highlighting the strong institutional commitment to women’s advancement.
Under the supervision of the Technical Adviser N°1 of MINPMEESA, Madam Menanga Mireille née Abongo, and the President of the Working Group organizing the 41st edition of International Women’s Day at MINPMEESA, Madam Mercy AFA NANJI, Director of the Department of Handicraft and Informal Sector Migrations, MINPMEESA women actively participated in the sports walk under the banner:
👉 “Let’s Work for a Competitive Female Entrepreneurship.”
Speaking on this year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Rights. Justice. Action for ALL Women and Girls,” Madam Mercy AFA NANJI encouraged all MINPMEESA women to take concrete action toward building competitive female entrepreneurship and playing a vital role in the country’s economy.
The event concluded at 10 a.m., with the Organizing Committee congratulating participants and encouraging continued strong participation in the upcoming activities marking IWD 2026.
