The Minister of SMEs, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Achille Bassilekin III, received H.E. Michał Cygan, Ambassador of Poland to Cameroon, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral economic relations and diversify Cameroon’s strategic partnerships.
This meeting aligns with the National Development Strategy 2020–2030, which prioritizes structural economic transformation and the growth of SMEs.
 As Poland expands its economic footprint in Africa since 2024, Cameroon stands out as a strategic gateway and leading economy in Central Africa.
🎯 Priority Areas of Cooperation:
🌾 Agro-industry & food security – Modern storage and drying solutions to reduce post-harvest losses.
🏗️ Infrastructure & civil engineering – Development of hydraulic works and construction projects.
💻 Information technology – Banking system modernization and public service digitalization, including FinTech solutions.

Key priorities highlighted include:
✅ Modernizing SME production tools
✅ Expanding access to competitive agricultural equipment

✅ Integrating Cameroonian SMEs into Polish value chains through industrial subcontracting
Poland has also been invited to participate in the 10th edition of the Salon International de l’Entreprise, de la PME et du Partenariat PROMOTE, scheduled for June 2026 in Yaoundé.
This meeting marks another step toward a more structured economic partnership focused on local transformation, SME competitiveness, and sustainable industrialization in Cameroon.
