The meeting took place during the CFC Managing Director’s working visit to Cameroon from 4 to 8 October 2026. It aimed to strengthen cooperation in support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and commodity value chains.
🎯 Key areas of discussion included:
✅ Improving access to CFC financing opportunities for Cameroonian SMEs;
✅ Developing new partnerships to promote local processing of raw materials and value addition;
✅ Providing technical support to SMEs and cooperatives in management, governance, certification and market access;
✅ Exploring a financing programme for cooperatives and processing enterprises, particularly for equipment, storage, marketing and working capital.
Special attention was given to the agricultural, agro-food and forestry sectors, with the aim of improving business competitiveness and strengthening the integration of small-scale producers into economic value chains.
The discussions also explored the possibility of establishing an institutional partnership based on a roadmap and a multi-year portfolio of projects, to mobilize more resources for SMEs and cooperatives.
Through this cooperation, MINPMEESA aims to promote local processing, create jobs and income opportunities, and support the development of more competitive and sustainable businesses.
