On December 17, 2025, Cameroon takes a major step forward with the National Forum on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) Financing, initiated by MINPMEESA.
In a context of structural economic transformation and the promotion of the import-substitution policy, this forum aims to rethink SME financing, recognizing SMEs as the backbone of the national economy (99.8% of businesses).

Key objectives of the Forum:

Identify innovative and context-adapted financing solutions for SMEs

Highlight 3 alternative financing mechanisms beyond bank credit

Develop a roadmap of 10 priority actions over 3 to 5 years

Strengthen competitiveness and support Cameroon’s industrialization

Participants include: public administrations, banks, international financial institutions, development agencies, investors (Private Equity, Venture Capital, Business Angels), guarantee funds, fintech platforms, telecom operators, and SMEs.

A strategic platform to jointly build a more inclusive and efficient SME financing ecosystem for Cameroon’s entrepreneurs.
