The Minister of SMESEH, Achille Bassilekin III was received in audience on Wednesday 04 October 2023 by the Ivorian Minister of Trade, Industry and SMEs, Dr Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA at his office in Abidjan. Minister Achille Bassilekin III, who is leading a large delegation comprising representatives from MINFI, MINPMEESA and APME, as well as UNDP officials from the Yaoundé and Abidjan Offices, was accompanied by Cameroon’s ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, H.E. Mrs Koloko Yvette. The audience marked the beginning of a mission to explore the support mechanisms available to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ivory Coast.

It should be noted that Cameroon and Ivory Coast have been linked since 06 March 2014 by a cooperation agreement in the field of SMEs and handicrafts enabling the sharing of information, technical, administrative and legislative expertise in the field of SME promotion and development.

This mission, which will take place in Abidjan from 03 to 06 October 2023, will enable the Cameroon side to find out about new measures to promote entrepreneurship implemented by Ivory Coast and, with the support of the development partners involved in this mission, to launch new programmes and mechanisms to increase the density of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cameroon.

The three-day sittings will be marked by working sessions with institutions, programmes and projects currently implemented in Ivory Coast
