The Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Achille BASSILEKIN III, granted an audience this Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to H.E. Christian SEDAT, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cameroon.
This strategic meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Cameroon and Germany in the sectors of SMEs, social economy and handicrafts.
Discussions focused on the development of Cameroonian SMEs, local industrialization, value addition of local products, and improved access to financing, technologies and international markets.
MINPMEESA also highlighted the Government’s priorities through the SME Development Support Program (PAD-PME), the modernization of production units, product certification and the strengthening of local value chains.
Minister Achille BASSILEKIN III praised the important role played by German partners, especially GIZ and KfW, in supporting Cameroon’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and promoting an inclusive and sustainable social economy.
The meeting also emphasized the strategic role of the Cameroonian diaspora in Germany as a key driver for skills transfer, technology sharing and productive investments for local SMEs.
Through this audience, Cameroon and Germany reaffirmed their shared commitment to building a strong, innovative and job-creating economic partnership for youth and women.
