The Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Social Economy and Handicrafts today Thursday the 24^{th<\/sup>\u00a0of January 2019 payed a visit to the Yaound\u00e9 One-Stop-Shop for the Creation of Enterprises abbreviated CFCE, the Yaound\u00e9 Regional Delegation for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Social Economy and Handicrafts and the Yaound\u00e9 International Handicraft Centre respectively. These visits were aimed at getting in touch with the various structures, familiarizing himself with the various activities carried out, getting to know the difficulties they face in exercising their various missions as well as seek for lasting solutions.<\/p>\n}

Accompanied by his close collaborators, Mr. Achille BASSILEKIN III who was recently appointed on the 4^{th<\/sup>\u00a0of January 2019 by\u00a0Decree N\u00b0 2019\/002\u00a0made his first stop at the Yaound\u00e9 One-Stop-Shop for the Creation of Enterprises (CFCE) where he was edified on the enterprise creation procedures, the various public structures attached to the centre as well as difficulties such as the small nature of the building that is hosting the centre, poor archives storage due to the size of the building, unfavorable conditions leading to the non respect of dateline for delivery of documents.<\/p>\n}

At the Yaound\u00e9 Regional Delegation for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Social Economy and Handicrafts, the case was not very different. Issues pertaining to the treatment of documents, relationship with attached structures and the problem of working space were raised. The Minister promised to look into the issued raised and gave the regional Delegate instructions to follow that the issues be resolved.<\/p>\n

Making his last stop at the Yaound\u00e9 International Handicraft Centre, the minister visited the entire structure where he met the personnel of the Yaound\u00e9 International Handicraft Centre and the craft men and women as well. While the craft men and women posed a worry of not knowing how to give a great visibility and sell out their products to the public, the personnel of the centre made it known to the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Social Economy and Handicrafts in a brief session that the craft sector is still undeveloped due to the absence of machines and better structures, the absence of practical trainings for both personnel of the Centre and craft men and women is making the sector to still linger behind and lastly was the problem of the insufficiency of finances to cost issues relating to auxiliary staffs.<\/p>\n

In his closing remark, the minister assured the personnel of the centre that their plights have noted and would be look into by the concerned administration. Meanwhile he encouraged them to keep working relentlessly while hoping for the best.<\/p>\n
