The aim is to support the development and promotion of the craft industry, as well as building the capacity of craftspeople in terms of ideation, finishing and design. It also aims at providing support and guidance to craftspeople in wood processing, in order to improve the quality of craft products and contribute to the creation of jobs and wealth.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">By signing this partnership agreement with the Founding President of CASSID, MINPMEESA is giving concrete expression to a partnership in the making with the African Confederation of Interior Designers. The project fuelled discussions during the audience granted by the Minister of SMESEH, on 06 July 2023, to H. E. Rosalia ARTEAGA, former President of the Republic of Ecuador and patron of the said Confederation. She was accompanied by Mrs L\u00e9onie BWEMBA, Founding President of CASSID and some representatives of other countries including Ivory Coast, Morocco and Gabon.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">MINPMEESA welcomed this request for partnership, as it is in line with the Government&rsquo;s commitment to promote Made in Cameroon, to enhance our ancestral heritage as far as interior design is concerned, to bring together tradition and modernity in the design of our crafts.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a reminder, the Cameroonian Association of Interior Designers aims at raising awareness on this profession, cultivate inclusion, promote Made in Cameroon and create training centres for interior design trades. To this end, the association is proposing that interior designers be consulted before building projects (be they public or private) are undertaken, and that furniture imports be reduced so that local craftspeople can increase their market share.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is a mutually beneficial partnership that will enable MINPMEESA and CASSID to build effective synergies, to contribute effectively and efficiently to the development and implementation of activities to promote the craft industry.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions for the partnership between MINPMEESA and the Cameroon Association of Interior Designers (CASSID) for the development of handicraft and the promotion of Made in Cameroon through crafts and design.
