From the 22 to 24 November 2022, the appointment for digital innovation was booked in Douala. The Digital Innovation Festival is a proof of it and the Minister of SMEs, Social Economy and Handicrafts,\u00a0 Achille BASSILEKIN III \u00a0as guest of honour, presided over the launching ceremony on 22 November 2022. Organised by ActivSpaces in partnership with GIZ at the Falaise Diamond in Bonanjo-Douala, the festival aims at raising awareness on innovation issues, generate ideas, discuss current Tech issues and trigger change.<\/p>\n
The first festival of its kind in the sub-region, it will focus on the promotion, investment and discussions on innovation and digital\/technological entrepreneurship in Cameroon. As such, the sittings will provide answers to many questions: How can we encourage and better develop Cameroon’s innovative potential? How can we attract more investors and get better investments for our startups? How can we work together in synergy to build a stronger ecosystem?<\/p>\n
In addition to the sittings, the Conferences moderated by renowned experts aim at bringing more clarity on different issues of Tech entrepreneurship in Cameroon. Also, Exhibition-Sale-Demonstration-Networking aimed at highlighting enterprises and start-ups in the ecosystem, particularly through stands promoting the visibility of their services and products to potential investors, partners or customers. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to advertise and make contact with customers and investors, promote and sell products and services, develop new markets, develop and retain customers, expand their network, and strengthen the reputation and image of their enterprises.<\/p>\n
The PITCH CONTEST, focused on start-ups,\u00a0 helps to convince investors, by providing them with more visibility, by enabling them to secure a possible investment or partnership, and presenting the business potential of Cameroonian start-ups.<\/p>\n
Participants in this festival were selected from local and foreign entrepreneurs with products\/solutions in the digital sector; local and international investors with interest and\/or experience in investing in digital enterprises; donors with interests in the\u00a0 Cameroon emerging market and Africa in general; local government institutions; international organisations; etc.<\/p>\n
