Organized by <em>Artisan au F\u00e9minin <\/em>association, in collaboration with FECAPROBOIS and in partnership with the British High Commission to Cameroon, the fair is aimed at promoting furniture \u00ab\u00a0Made in Cameroon\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applauding the initiative, the Minister stated that the timber sector is one of the pillars of the Cameroonian economy and the International Furniture Fair would not only bring the creativity of women to the limelight, but equally address the challenges they are facing in the field. He also used the occasion as a wakeup call for Cameroonians to consume Cameroonian made furniture by local artisans.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The particularities of this year\u2019s edition are focused on wood of legal origin and non-wood forest products as well as its contribution to the development of the wood processing industry in Cameroon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furniture that respect climate change principles will also be taken into consideration so as to curb illegal wood logging and promote climate change initiatives.
