Shedding light on the major projects, meeting the challenges it faces within the framework of the implementation of the National Development Strategy 2020\/203 and specifying all the programmes and projects carried out daily in MINPMEESA, were the objectives of the meeting held on 26 February 2021 between the Ministry of SMESEH and the media on the programmes of the said Ministry. According to Minister Achille BASSILEKIN III, sharing information and clarification of the various tasks and missions carried out in his ministry on a daily basis was vital, in order to provide information to journalists on the missions of the Ministry.<\/p>\n
\u00a0In his opening statement, the Secretary General Joseph TCHANA reminded the media that the meeting, which he described as pedagogical, \u00ab\u00a0will enable journalists to be familiar with the missions of the Ministry, as well as better understand our activities in order to better relay them to the public in a relevant and effective manner\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
Two major points were on the top of the discussions moderated by the Secretary General, coordinator of programmes and projects of MINPMEESA. Centred on the presentations of the different programme managers, the first point, enabled to listen respectively to OND St\u00e9phane, Director of SMEs Department, MANDENG, Coordinator of the PACD, Joseph AHANDA, Director of Social Economy Department, Mercy AFA NANJI, Director of Handicrafts Department and Mamoudou Bobbo, Head of the Studies, Projects and Forecast Division. Each official outlined the major stakes and challenges of the programmes and projects they are managing, as part of the implementation of the new NDS-30 development strategy and the structural transformation of the Cameroonian economy. Mamoudou Bobbo recalled the various orientations and pillars of the NDS-30, as well as the sectoral implication of this transformation and inclusive development. The results obtained by programmes as well as the projections in the economic growth mechanism of our country were also presented by these officials.<\/p>\n
As for the second point, it consisted in giving the floor, at the end of the presentations, to publication managers, to broadcast, print and cyber media outlets, and other journalists who requested further information, details and clarifications on specific issues during the question-and-answer session according to the various programmes.<\/p>\n
By providing answers on MINPMEESA achievements, Joseph TCHANA explained that \u201cstructural transformation is a matter of building a significant critical mass of entrepreneurs in Cameroon, those who produce goods and services, in the field of SMEs, Handicrafts and Social Economy\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
For Minister Achille BASSIKLEKIN III, it was judicious to establish communication between the Ministry and journalists. \u00ab\u00a0It have enabled us to provide you with information on the way activities, programmes and projects are conducted in order to be in line with the fulfilment of the missions assigned to our ministry. This meeting has been organised with the aim of filling information gaps and approximations in information processing\u00a0\u00bb he told the press.<\/p>\n
At the end of the meeting, the Minister asked journalists not to hesitate to get in touch with his Communication Unit which is ready to provide all useful information for better reports that reflect, explain and heighten the activities carried out within MINPMEESA. An annual schedule of MINPMEESA’s activities has been made available to them so that they can prepare in advance the necessary support in their respective newsrooms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
