{"id":938,"date":"2019-01-30T16:04:35","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T15:04:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.minpmeesa.cm\/site\/?page_id=938"},"modified":"2022-07-28T12:33:29","modified_gmt":"2022-07-28T10:33:29","slug":"missions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.minpmeesa.cm\/site\/en\/handicraft\/missions\/","title":{"rendered":"Missions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Missions\u00a0 according to Decree No. 2013\/169 of 27 May 2013 to organise MINPMEESA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>elaborating and implementing the handicraft development policy;<\/li>\n<li>identifying and promoting handicraft industries;<\/li>\n<li>facilitating the creation of handicraft enterprises;<\/li>\n<li>supervising handicraft enterprises, monitoring the application of standards and improving the quality of handicraft products;<\/li>\n<li>developing and implementing a strategy for the promotion of handicrafts, in conjunction with the administrations concerned;<\/li>\n<li>monitoring the implementation of capacity building mechanisms for craftspeople\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>seeking out economic opportunities for handicraft products;<\/li>\n<li>defining and improving the status of craftspeople;<\/li>\n<li>promoting professional groups and trades;<\/li>\n<li>seeking out and developing support mechanisms for craftspeople, in conjunction with the administrations concerned;<\/li>\n<li>controlling the execution of programmes and projects in favour of craftspeople;<\/li>\n<li>exploiting the results of studies and surveys on the informal sector;<\/li>\n<li>exploiting the results of studies on the possibilities of migration from the informal sector;<\/li>\n<li>developing and implementing a national policy for migration from the informal sector to the formal economy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Department of Handicrafts and Migration of the Informal Sector<strong>(DAMSI)<\/strong> is composed of 02 Sub-Departments\u00a0: the Sub-Department of Handicraft and the Informal Activities and Migrations Unit<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The Sub-Department of Handicraft is in charge of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>monitoring the development and updating of the nomenclature of handicraft trades, in liaison with the administrations concerned\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>monitoring the identification of craftspeople and handicraft enterprises\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>promoting professional groups and trades;<\/li>\n<li>promoting handicraft sectors with high growth potential;<\/li>\n<li>management relations between Consular Chambers and professional groups with the administration;<\/li>\n<li>connecting craftspeople with partner organisations\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>developing and implementing development strategies for the handicraft industry;<\/li>\n<li>developing competitiveness and improving the quality of handicraft products;<\/li>\n<li>defining and implementing support mechanisms for craftspeople and handicraft enterprises;<\/li>\n<li>monitoring and organising promotional events\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>promoting and facilitating exports of handicraft products, in conjunction with the relevant administrations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Informal Activities and Migrations Unit has as missions:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the exploitation of the results of studies and surveys on the informal sector<\/li>\n<li>the elaboration and follow-up of specific studies on the control of the informal sector\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>the monitoring of the evolution of the activities of the informal sector, in liaison with the competent administrations;<\/li>\n<li>the development and the keepping of a data file of informal sector actors and groupings\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>the development and implementation of strategies for the evolution of informal sector actors towards the formal economy;<\/li>\n<li>the development and implementation of a support plan for informal sector actors in the formalisation of their production units;<\/li>\n<li>the design and implementation of support mechanisms for the modernisation of production units in the informal sector;<\/li>\n<li>the design and implementation of measures to promote migration;<\/li>\n<li>the development, in collaboration with the competent administrations, of administrative, fiscal and social regulations tailored to microenterprises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Missions\u00a0 according to Decree No. 2013\/169 of 27 May 2013 to organise MINPMEESA elaborating and implementing the handicraft development policy;
